Unix/Linux
I have several years of experience with the Unix operating system, starting with my Ph.D. studies during the early 1990s. My current application development for the Protein Data Bank occurs primarily on Sun Solaris workstations. Programming includes Perl, Java, and shell scripting. Source code is maintained in a source tree under revision control (RCS) and compiled with GNU make.
In addition, I have a dual operating system installation of Windows 98 and Linux (RedHat 6.2) on a Dell Inspiron 5000 notebook (see the technical installation details).
